Nia Deliana earns a Ph.D. from the Faculty of Human Sciences, International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM). Her dissertation concentrates on precedent historical foreign relations between Indians and Indonesia. Her research interests include classical and contemporary foreign affairs across the Indian Ocean, multilateralism between South India and the Malay Peninsula, and the making of race, knowledge and identity politics. Currently She teaches in politics and international relations in the faculty of social sciences at Indonesia International Islamic University, West Java, Indonesia
